WHO IS DR. SARAH SPRADLIN?
After nearly 10 years as an active duty Marine Corps officer, Dr. Spradlin transitioned to serve as the first female Principal Staff Director at United States Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command. Currently, she serves as the CEO at Vitruvian Advantage, a competency based workforce development firm driven to provide functional workforce development solutions grounded in the theoretical and practical application of emotional intelligence (EI). With more than 15 years experience working talent acquisitions, organizational development, and executive career coaching, she is a leading expert in the study of EI as it relates to workforce development, transformational leadership, resilience, and high performing team dynamics. Dr. Spradlin also serves as Adjunct Faculty for Central Michigan University’s Graduate School of Business Administration where she teaches Workforce Improvement Strategies for Corporate and Non-Profit Organizations. She serves as the Chairman of the Congressional Clay Hunt Community Outreach Committee for the VA's Mid Atlantic Region in Hampton, Va. She is enrolled in the Executive Management & Leadership Course at MIT Sloan School of Management. Last but certainly not least, Dr. Spradlin spends a great deal of time motivating students & professionals on the positive influence EI plays in ones' personal and professional success. She is married to Dev Spradlin (USMC Ret.) and resides in Chester, VA with their 4 children.

Dr. Spradlin recently teamed up with BizWorks Enterprise Center to produce a short documentary about how BizWorks, Richmond's leading incubator, helps small businesses create new jobs to Chesterfield County.
Dr. Spradlin was recently nominated to serve as the Chairman of the Veteran Administration's Mid-Atlantic Region Congressional Clay Hunt Community Outreach Committee, working with the team to increase awareness of veteran suicide and improve mental health resiliency and recovery programs for transitioning service members throughout the region.
